The beach at Long Hai was virtually deserted in 1967. Like Vung Tau, it was a popular place for some weekend visitors from Saigon, but nowhere near as busy. Long Hai was a 45 minute drive up the peninsula from Vung Tau, east of  Ba Ria. Near the center of the photo above Hotel de la Piscine catered to the Friday-Saturday-Sunday visitors.
