Tay Ninh in 1910


This collection of photos is from an album entitled Les Français en Indochine, 1910, found for sale on French Ebay. These silver nitrate photographs were taken in Tay Ninh during 1899-1911, but most were dated 1910. The photographer, presumably a French colonial administrator or military officer, added descriptions to most of the photos. Pictured are the military, river scenes, the market, the lunar new year festival and leisure activities. 

The first two photos below were taken during Bastille Day ceremonies in 1910.
